Size Matters...
Sizing is very important when purchasing and using any fitted pouch style baby sling. The Tot-To-Go Baby Sling sizing is parent or caregiver based. Proper sizing will ensure a comfortable fit for you and your baby. There are many factors involved when choosing a slings size. We encourage you to read through this section carefully to help you make a decision
How do I know which size to choose?
The general rule of thumb is to go with the same size you would choose when picking out a fitted t-shirt. However, this is not always accurate as sizing standards can vary greatly depending on the manufacturer. The best way to choose a size is to find your shoulder to opposite hip measurement and then use the chart below as a guide.
How to find your Shoulder to Hip Measurement
- Hold one end of a measuring tape and place it at the top of your shoulder.
- Drape the measuring tape diagonally from your shoulder to the opposite hip. Do not hold the measuring tape too tightly across as this will give you inaccurate results.
- Feel the top of your hip bone; that is where you should be stopping to take your measurement. Mark your measurement on a piece of paper so you don't forget.
- If you are pregnant, have someone measure your shoulder to hip against your back.
- If you don't have a loose measuring tape, use a piece of string and then measure it against a ruler

Can I still pick out a sling if I'm pregnant?
Yes! Follow the same guidelines above and then consider the following if you fall between sizes: Choose the smaller size if you are in your second or last trimester. Although the sling will be snug when you try it on, there will be plently of room once baby arrives. Choose the larger size if you are in your first trimester.
How do I know I have the right size?
Personal comfort levels will differ from person to person. You may be able to wear two different size baby slings and feel perfectly comfortable with either one. It’s similar to the way clothes will fit different body types. Generally a good fitting sling is one that allows you to wear your baby centered against your body with the bottom edge of the sling sitting somewhere at your belly button or just slightly below (level to your hip bone). You should be able to position your baby the sling (even though it may be difficult at first, it does take practice). If you feel like you can't move or breath and it's next to impossible to get your baby in the sling, it's probably too small. Your sling is too big if you baby feel loose and is postioned well below you hip bone near your lower abdomen.
